Slow Cook Pork Paleo Recipe

Looking for a Paleo recipe that you can make without taking too much time to look after or keep you from doing other things? Why not try using a slow cooker? It will impress you how a slow cooker can make your meals more mouthwatering and nutritious!

There are just some days when you want to have something scrumptious and fancy on your plate but do not have the time to make it. We all have those days when we crave for pork but are tired of the ordinary recipes for pork that can make it tough or taste bland. With all the cravings and with no time, we get frustrated. But what if there is a solution to this problem?

Paleo Food - Pork

There is a solution for busy individuals who want to enjoy their meal hot, tasty and healthy: a slow cooker. You might think another choice can be better, especially for this kind of Paleo recipe, like the all-time favourite the oven. But in Paleo, you will encounter recipes that suggest using a slow cooker or crock pot over ovens, and you will find each recipe having great reviews. Why? Here are six reasons (including our sumptuous pork recipe) that will make you buy a slow cooker for yourself.

Saves You Time

Ovens are great but when it comes to saving you more time, a slow cooker is on a par with ovens. You only need to prepare everything that you need, put it in your slow cooker, and set the timer and then leave it to work its magic. You can do the things you need to do whilst you leave the slow cooker on at home cooking your food for dinner. They will welcome you home by a meal with so much flavour and aroma without worrying about the chores or work you had to finish. No need to check out the food you are cooking every now and then just the way you do with an oven.

Paleo Diet - Slow Cooking

Less Nutrition Lost

Unlike other methods of cooking, you will find slow cooking a better way of maintaining not only the flavour but also the nutritional content of most, if not all the ingredients. Food cooked in traditional methods even in the oven lose their natural juices where the nutritional value is present. Slow cookers lock in the nutrition and can keep the natural flavours of the ingredients while cooking each one effectively. This makes most meat cooked in slow cookers so tender but still flavourful, which you will find you enjoy when you try out the featured Paleo crockpot recipe.

Cook What You Want No Matter The Season Or Occasion

Whether it’s a hearty soup in the winter, roasts in the summer or saucy meals for all occasions, a slow cooker can be used for any Paleo recipe like no other piece of equipment in your kitchen. Though slow cookers are perfect for soups and stews, you’ll also find it more convenient to use for making meals that require an oven. Slow cookers produce less heat compared to ovens, which makes it better on hot, summer days. Another plus is the fact that slow cookers can save more on your power consumption and you can bring it anywhere you want.

Paleo Recipe - Preparing Food

Less Processed Food

When you are practicing Paleo or other diet plans, you definitely would need to remove processed foods from your grocery list. Some of these foods are “instant foods” which are easy to cook, convenient but have little to no nutritional value. A slow cooker will let you have the same idea of effortless cooking but with more nutrition and tasty food. As mentioned earlier, you can set a slow cooker’s timer and it will do the rest of the work. You can also make meals with your slow cooker and save some for later by putting it in your fridge or the freezer.

You’re Sure Of The Food You Eat

Because you get to prepare everything from scratch, you are sure of how your meal is cooked and what’s really in it. This is a benefit that can be enjoyed not only through using a slow cooker but by home cooking. You have control over the safety and health benefits of the food you and your loved ones eat.

You Get To Enjoy This Paleo Recipe Without The Need Of An Oven

Most often than not, ovens are used in roasting and people without one cannot enjoy the joys of eating roasted food. Slow cookers are the best solution for this problem, and a much cheaper way of getting great food on your table, including this recipe! That and the rest of the above reasons are more than enough to choose a slow cooker over an oven for making this delicious Paleo lifestyle recipe.
