The Fat Loss Myth

Yesterday I heard a well respected personal trainer say one of my most hated phrases.

“Muscle weighs more than fat!”

It doesn’t It weighs the same

One of the reasons why I threw out my scales a few years ago was the more I trained the heavier I got it was actually a good thing but those scales made me feel guilty

5lb of Muscle = 5lb of Fat

Below is an Image of 5lbs of fat vs 5 Lbs of muscle what do you notice? The 5lbs of muscle takes up much less space than fat

This leads us onto one point you’ve probably never considered… You don’t need those scales!

What’s the point, if you are doing things correctly you’ll be losing fat and replacing it with muscle.

You’ll think you are aren’t losing much weight..get despondent and give up where in fact you were doing the right things all along.

A couple of Final Images…Now go throw those scales out.
