A quick and simple recipe to create delicious tasting doughnuts that you can enjoy at any time of the year.
  • ½ Cup (118 g) Coconut Flour
  • ¼ Cup (59 g) Finely Ground Blanched Almond Flour
  • ¼ Teaspoon (1.25 g) Rock Salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon (1.25 g) Baking Powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon (1.25 g) Ground Cinnamon
  • 6 Eggs (Preferably Free Range)
  • ½ Cup (118 ml) Unpasteurized Honey
  • ¼ Cup (59 ml) Coconut Oil - Melted
  • ¼ Cup (59 ml) Unsweetened Apple Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) Pure Vanilla Extract
  1. • Prepare a doughnut pan by oiling it with the melted coconut oil and preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. • In a medium bowl, mix the dry ingredients together well.
  3. • Set this bowl to one side and place all the wet ingredients together in a larger bowl.
  4. • Whisk the wet ingredients together in the large bowl. Making sure that you mix everything well.
  5. • Transfer the dry ingredients to the same bowl like the one with the wet ingredients and mix everything well together. Making sure that you have a lump-free batter. I find it best to use an electric whisk to combine all the ingredients together. But you can if you want to use a food processor.
  6. • Set the batter to one side and leave it to sit for 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. • After letting the batter sit for a few minutes, place into a piping bag.
  8. • Get your prepared doughnut pan and fill each ring ¾ full until you have used all the batter.
  9. • Place the doughnut pan in the oven and let the doughnuts bake for 20 to 22 minutes.
  10. • Once your doughnuts are baked, remove the pan from the oven and allow them to cool. This will take a minute or two.
  11. • Remove the doughnuts from the pan and let them cool further on a cooling rack.
  12. • Glaze the doughnuts with the honey. You may serve them whilst they are still warm or leave them to cool.
  13. • Enjoy your doughnuts with your favourite tea or drinks and enjoy!
