Brussel Sprouts And Bacon – A Recipe Just In Case You Really Can’t Figure It Out:)

Brussel sprouts are one of my favorite vegetables and always have been. My husband on the other hand has a long history with these baby cabbages. When he was a child his mom once told him he only needed to eat foods he could pronounce. His immediate response was, “Does that mean I don’t need to eat any brooooooooooooooosel sprouts?”. That was pretty much the same stance he took with me until we started cooking them this way. Now often I go to grab the last little pyrex post workout only to find my brussel sprout despising love has eaten them all himself.

Brussel Sprouts and Bacon Brussel Sprouts and Bacon(I hope you’re sitting down for this one because it might shock you…..)

  • Preheat oven to 400(you can also cook these higher or lower depending upon how quickly you want them to be done)
  • Wash and cut brussel sprouts in half
  • Lay Brussels across a cookie sheet or roasting pan
  • Take your bacon and chop it in to 1/2 pieces(or bigger, or smaller, use some creative license here…)
  • Mix the raw bacon in with the sprouts
  • Place the pan in the oven and roast for about 45 minutes, stirring every 15.

Honestly I get that most of you could have figured this out. However I also get that there are folks out there reading who have never cooked a brussel sprout in their life, and even people who have only pan sauteed them. Just sharing yet another brussel sprout and bacon technique to the paleo people (and beyond).

OK, it’s late and I’m getting batty. Enjoy the sprouts!!!
